Toll Brothers, America's Luxury Home Builder, seeks a Data Engineer to join our team at our Corporate office in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania.

 

What is the opportunity?

 

The Data Engineer is responsible for supporting Toll Brothers by providing coding and database support for key business applications.

 

What are the primary responsibilities? 

  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs as well as support activities for enterprise applications.
  • Participate in requirements analysis
  • Communicate cross-functionally; feeding information and results across the business
  • Collaborate with application developers, product managers and business analysts to understand the requirements and translate them into design specifications and code
  • Test and deploy applications and systems
  • Revise, update, refactor and debug code
  • Produce scalable, replicable code and engineering solutions that help automate repetitive data management
  • Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain stable, secure, and scalable solutions and data pipelines in support of data and analytics projects, including creating new sources of data and moving data out to
  • Developing applications that meet both the code quality and security standards of the enterprise
  • Align data architecture with business
    • Ensure that the solution can be successfully integrated into the overall application/system.
    • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources

Do you have these qualifications? 

  • Essential:
    • Proven experience as a .NET Developer or Application Developer
    • Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic .NET) and HTML5/CSS3
    • 3+ years of experience with technical data architectures, ETL/ ELT, reporting/analytic tools and,
    • Advanced knowledge and expertise with data modelling skills
    • Advanced SQL skills in working with relational data
    • Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and data pipelines
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or technical field such as Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or similar or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Beneficial
    • Experience with Qlik/Tableau BI platforms preferred
    • Experience with web analytics tools like Google Analytics
    • Experience with Azure/Snowflake data platforms preferred
    • Knowledge of home building or finance industry a plus
    • Knowledge of JAVA script and R/Python programming
    • Knowledge of .NET suite of enterprise applications
