Toll Brothers, our nation's luxury home builder, seeks a Class A Truck Driver for Toll Integrated Systems (TIS), our wholly-owned component manufacturing company.

What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will transport house component parts between the manufacturing plant and job sites.  Our drivers are required to navigate through construction jobsites that create unique and different challenges every day. The work is diverse. You can deliver a van of building materials today, a flatbed of lumber tomorrow, and a roll-off trailer loaded with roof trusses that can be up to 12’ wide the next day. On occasion, some of our deliveries do require a layover.

What are the primary responsibilities?

  • Safely operate van, flatbed and roll-off trucks
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post- trip inspection on unit
  • Check shipping papers/bills of lading to determine nature of load and any special hazards, and, when feasible, to check load itself, and methods of securing it
  • Operate vehicles in compliance with D.O.T., FMCSR, company rules and all applicable laws and regulations in accordance with all principles of safe driving
  • Pick-up and deliver freight as required by assigned customer
  • Load, unload and move freight manually or with mechanical lifting equipment as required.
  • Hook and unhook trailers as required
  • Match, count and verify freight with bills of lading and manifest. Note any exceptions in writing.
  • Secure freight with tarps, chains, webbing or straps.
  • Perform general clean up (e.g. truck and trailer interior).
  • Maintain Driver’s Record of Duty Status (driver’s log) in accordance with D.O.T. regulations.
  • Perform other related work as required.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the nation's most respected Fortune 500 companies!

Does this describe you?

  • Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Present a professional image and attitude to our customers at all times
  • Communicate with TIS-LOGISTICS dispatch and customers for instructions and report delays or problems
  • Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision

Do you have these qualifications?

  • Essential:
    • Must hold a Class A driver’s license
    • Must have an active DOT medical card
    • A minimum of 12+ months of recent, verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience is required
    • Must be able to perform lifting and carrying freight weighing 1 pound to 100 pounds

We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package that includes comprehensive medical/dental, 401(k) with a company match, discounted stock purchase, discounts on mortgages, homes, and much more!
