Toll Brothers, our nation's luxury home builder, seeks a Assistant Purchasing Manager for Toll Integrated Systems (TIS), our wholly-owned component manufacturing company, located in Morrisville, Pennsylvania.

 

What is the opportunity?

 

Responsible for sourcing inventory products as well as developing new suppliers to ensure required inventory needs are met without causing shortages or overstock issues.

 

What are the primary responsibilities?

  • Procurement of contracted inventory products
  • Rail logistics/ car placements, demurrage/transfer coordination between plants
  • Contract preparation/confirmations
  • Vendor sourcing, negotiation sessions
  • Non inventory Purchasing, and inventory control
  • Maintaining operating levels of supplies
  • Analyze bids
  • Review invoices
  • Identify companies’ futures needs and forward bought products for savings
  • Audit responsibilities
  • Conduct routine supplier business reviews, evaluating supplier performance and compliance
  • Negotiate contracts with builder trades for new communities and replacement within existing communities
  • Understand how to read architecture plans
  • Maintained model, elevation, and option budgets for communities
  • Understanding Rough Carpentry, House Wrap, & Window scopes of work

Do you have these qualifications?

  • Essential:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management or Supply Chain Management (or extensive experience in the residential homebuilding industry)
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in contracting and negotiating pricing of building materials or some experience in the residential building sector
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel, and aptitude to learn new software programs (E1)
  • Preferred:
    • Hands-on residential construction experience
    • Supply Chain certification
    • Experience with EnterpriseOne (E1) and BuildPro software
    • Experience with Energy Star requirements, Green Building concepts, sustainability, etc.
