Toll Brothers

Recruiting Fraud Alert

ALERT:

We want you to be aware of schemes involving fraudulent job postings on third-party job boards and of individuals not affiliated with real employers. These recruitment fraud schemes are becoming more and more common.

What is recruitment fraud?

Recruitment fraud occurs when individuals unaffiliated with a company post fake job openings using the company’s name to target job seekers. This is normally done through job search sites, fake websites, unsolicited emails, fake email addresses, social media or even via phone calls and texts. While conducting false interviews, the people posing as recruiters often request victims to provide personal information as well as bank account information as part of their fictitious recruitment process.

It’s important that you know an interview with Toll Brothers will never be conducted via text message or through a messaging app. We would also never ask you to make payments of any kind, request your financial or bank account information to make a deposit, or require you to pay for technology or training equipment before starting with Toll Brothers. In addition, all correspondence from Toll Brothers will come from an @tollbrothers.com email address and all real job postings will always be found on our careers website at www.tollcareercenter.com.

How can you identify fraud?

  • Is it too good to be true? If it feels that way, it probably is.
  • Are you being offered a signing bonus?
  • What is being asked of you? Are you being asked for information that goes beyond a typical application process, such as date of birth, passport details, bank details, etc.? If so, it is likely fake.
  • How are you being contacted? Check to ensure that all correspondence is coming from a @tollbrothers.com email address.

If you have been targeted, what should you do next?
