Toll Brothers, America’s leading builder of luxury homes seeks a Vice President of Design for our office located in Irvine, California.
What is the opportunity?
The VP of Design, Toll Architecture position is responsible for Leading the Design Department of Toll Architecture in developing new and innovative floorplans and elevations. This individual is also responsible for reviewing all new and existing floor plans for the purpose of rationalizing, standardizing, and optimizing design to maximize field efficiency. This individual must be competent in all aspects of residential home design and documentation and be able to program, layout and present marketable residential products. Essential skill sets include Design expertise, flexibility, creativity, spatial vision, graphic dexterity, and inter- and intra-departmental collaboration
What are the primary responsibilities?
- Lead a team of Designers to develop new and existing floor plans for Toll Brothers
- Manage 3rd party designs
- Manage the company’s new and existing floorplan certification process to assure consistency company-wide
- Develops design standards
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Able produce and promote the use of insightful and innovative ideas
- Able to determine correct budgets and timelines for new projects
- Able to utilize the department specific technologies to solve business challenges
- Able to collaborate with employees among multiple departments
- Strong presentation skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Do you have these qualifications?
- Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
- 10 + years Design experience in Multifamily, attached and detached residential construction.
- Ability to travel
- Managerial experience
- Experience with AutoCAD, Photoshop and Sketchup
- Work in office 4-days per week. Additional in office days vary per Division/Department.
- Preferred:
- Architectural, artistic or other creative background
The salary for this position is $170,700-$226,300 plus an annual performance bonus.
