We are expanding our operations and have an immediate opportunity for an Landscape Accounting Team Leader for our operations in Colmar, Pennsylvania.
What is the opportunity?
This role is responsible for working independently while leading an administrative support team to ensure the landscape accounting function prepares timely and accurate job cost/overhead information for distribution to landscape construction operations, landscape senior management and Toll corporate accounting and senior management
What are the primary responsibilities?
- Manage the following landscape construction operations processes accurately and timely to keep the business running efficiently:
- Enhance and compile operational reports
- Review AP batches
- Process vendor insurance and cash receipts
- Submit sales commissions
- Oversee and perform compliance responsibilities for:
- Department of Transportation
- Sales and use tax reporting
- Internal Audit
- Fixed asset
- Payroll
- Legal/IT
- Run reports on materials, nursery inventory & contract grow management
- Support Sage software
- Ad hoc tasks; supporting operations, sales & management
- Create landscape senior management reports:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly income statements
- Collaborate with all key stakeholders to complete the annual budget in a deadline driven environment
- Conduct ongoing data analysis
- Identify and track quantitative factors to increase profit
- Interface with Toll corporate accounting and senior management to deliver timely information:
- Provide data to the tax department to ensure tax compliance
- Prepare fiscal year budgets
- Audit and support the accounts payable payment approval process weekly
- Produce quarterly financial reports
- Manage, coach, and develop administrative professionals to support the landscape accounting function objectives
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Does this describe you?
- Thorough knowledge of accounting practices used to track the weekly performance and financial outcome of a residential landscape construction company.
- Desire to help the landscape operations team achieve objectives.
- Understanding of subcontractor and material vendors relationships integral to the landscape construction process.
- Prior experience with acquiring proper insurance coverage from subcontractors and vendors.
- Ability to lead a team of individuals tasked with performing daily accounting tasks
- Capacity to distill data into measurable benchmarks to increase operational efficiency & profitability.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and resolve issues with customers and team members.
Do you have these qualifications?
- Essential:
- 4+ years of Accounting experience
- 4+ years of Accounting experience
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Accounting experience working with a Landscape Construction operation installing high end residential Landscaping, Hardscaping, Lighting and Outdoor Living
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook 365) and familiarity with Sage 300 CRE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
