Toll Architecture, a national full-service Toll Brothers company seeks an Architectural Project Manager to coordinate the design development, construction documents and permitting phases of projects in our divisions. This position is based in our office located in Grapevine, Texas. 

 

 

What is the opportunity?

 

Unlicensed architectural professional that is responsible for managing the architectural production needs for multiple divisions. This includes coordinating the design development, construction documents and permitting phases of the projects, as well as collaborating with Architectural Business Partners to forecast and plan for future needs.

 

What are the primary responsibilities?

  • Quality Assurance
    • Ability to interpret and apply construction codes to safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of the public
    • Assist in creation and governance of standards and procedures
    • Encourage and reinforce quality controls through appropriate document checking and employee training
  • Project Coordination
    • Ability to coordinate and motivate Project Leads who are responsible for meeting project success criteria
    • Projects include new design models, lot specifics, and revisions
    • Ability to provide consistency for all projects within the assigned division(s)
    • Adhere to and enforce established standards and procedures
    • Ability to exercise independent judgment
    • Management of outside consultant and ensuring adherence to agreed-upon deadlines
  • People Management
    • Provide mentorship for staff
    • Assist in staff hiring and discliplinary decisions
    • Inform perfomance evaluations as needed
  • Collaboration
    • Regular collaboration with the Architectural Business Partner(s) within the assigned divisions
    • Assist other stacks on special projects including code updates, construction detail revisions, design reviews, technology projects and innovation initiatives
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Able to plan and prioritize while focusing on detail orientation and effective time management

  • Able to use imagination and new ideas to produce solutions for the department
  • Identifies way to incorporate new practices and ideas into existing framework

 

Do you have these qualifications?

  • Essential:
    • Min. Required Education - Bachelor's Degree
    • Required Software - Microsoft Office Suite
    • Project Management experience required
    • People Management experience required
    • Architectural and construction knowledge required
    • Ability to influence/collaborate with others including internal resources, consultants and remote teams
    • 3+ years previous related experience
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record 
  • Preferred:
    • Preferred Education – Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture
    • Additional Preferred (but not required) Software – AutoCAD, SketchUp, BIM360
