Toll Integrated Systems, seeks an Assistant Framing Superintendent Intern for one of our communities located in Leesburg, Virginia.

 

In this role, you will help provide site management of the rough framing process at Toll Brothers communities. Responsibilities?include: Site Management/Manage Framer Interactions/Communications: Provide guidance and clear direction to framer on issue resolution. Scheduling/Delivery Coordination: Provide guidance to TIS scheduling and transportation to optimize material deliveries and coordinate issues related to material delivery (before, during offloading, or after) as requested. Audit Rough Framing Phase Performance: Travel between projects to review framing milestone timeliness, accuracy, and material/framing quality. Order Review: Actively participate in the activities related to the acceptance of new (turnkey) house orders submitted to TIS. Follow through and participate in ensuring that the TIS house orders are completed correctly and timely. Present and Evaluate Material and Labor Costs: Review standard and additional labor and material costs. Make cost-saving recommendations to Turnkey Manager.

 

This position will be on-site 5 days per week.

Qualifications

We seek students currently enrolled in their 3rd, 4th, or 5th year, majoring in construction management or a related field, and are interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation. The ideal candidate has knowledge of wood-framed construction, Microsoft® applications, AutoCAD, and the ability to read construction plans and takeoff lists.  Candidates must have a reliable form of transportation as they will be asked to travel to local Virginia communities throughout the workday.
